Geoff and his wife Liz (also a Director) are 50% joint shareholders of Tendertips (with their son and daughter in-law) and supply most of the asparagus through their growing business, Lewis Farming.
As one of the largest asparagus growers in New Zealand, Geoff has consistently taken on industry-wide responsibilities including his chairing of the New Zealand Asparagus Association. Geoff was also, until recently, independent Chair of the government seasonal workers programme and is a strong advocate for the horticultural industry as a major part of New Zealand’s economy. Geoff was recently awarded the 2016 Life Membership of Horticulture New Zealand, as a reflection of his hard work for the industry. As well as their asparagus interests, Geoff and Liz are keen travellers and enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
Cam joined the Tendertips Board in 2013 and is the next generation of asparagus farming in his family. Cam and his wife Catherine own half of Tendertips and half of Lewis Farming, Tendertips’ major supplier. Cam has a background in the rural finance industry and is currently managing director of the family dairy farm business. Cam has a keen interest in governance and is currently the Chair of the Horowhenua Economic Development Board. Cam enjoys spending time with his two children on the farm and cycling when conditions permit.
Catherine works in a variety of areas for Tendertips including health and safety, marketing and events, compliance and other special projects. Catherine’s background is in public policy, as she previously worked in Wellington for central government across a number of different departments and roles. Catherine is based part time at the Packhouse during the season. She is Mum to two young children, Addison and Archer. Catherine loves cooking, gardening, spending time with her family and friends, and keeping active through Crossfit.
Martyn is responsible for overseeing the harvesting and crop husbandry of all Lewis Farming beds. Martyn takes a leadership role in the pastoral care of the harvest staff, living on-site. In his spare time he enjoys to fish off the local coast and visit his children living around the world.
